College Interview Prep Course
$139.00

Getting accepted to the best college or university, the school you want to attend, is no easy task. High GPA’s, SAT’s and multiple extracurricular activities are no guarantee because you are competing with thousands of other students with similar records. In this fierce competitive environment only you can make the difference.

The admissions interview is usually the deciding factor when thousands of comparable applicants are in contention for a limited number of seats. The on-campus interview will be your only chance to make a good impression on the people who will ultimately decide your future.

The interpersonal skills needed to ace the all-important interview can make or break your future. Why take chances in this increasingly competitive environment? If you are interviewing for college admission, internships, or scholarship programs, the ability to present yourself in the very best light is crucial. Don't sabotage your own future by NOT having the tools to master what is often the make-or-break step in the interview process!

Our four-hour seminar includes the following:

  • What questions can you expect to encounter, and how can you be ready for them?
  • The trick questions: some questions are actually designed to trip you up. How can you be ready to give answers that the interviewer is looking for?
  • Tough questions: everyone has shortcomings whether they recognize them or not. How can you turn these negatives into positives?
  • Questions to ask: what questions should YOU be asking of the interviewer? Questions asked are often more important than answers given.
  • Visual skills: are you really looking your best? Are you sure? We will analyze appearance skills to ensure that you don't unintentionally send mixed messages!
  • The art of being yourself: show them your true, unique personality without going too far, or, worse, coming off as phony!
  • Vocal skills: almost everyone has vocal "tics" that have become so ingrained in their speech that they don't notice them anymore. How can you get rid of the "likes and "ya'know"'s without sounding self conscious?
  • How much is too much? Knowing when to stop talking!
  • How much is too little? Have you really given them enough information?
  • What makes you unique? Ways to present yourself honestly and effectively without stretching the truth or coming across as arrogant.

Elizabeth Reeder has coached hundreds of job applicants, students and actors on interview technique for one-on-one interviews, group interviews (facing a panel), and television appearances. Through a combination of analysis, role-playing, video of your performance, printed materials and discussion, the professionals at Studio E will ensure that you are ready to present yourself in your very best light and help you take a giant step towards your new future!
